In the Toddler Room we build upon a child’s development and stimulate them with exciting and fresh challenges through play. We provide a more structured routine for children who are beginning to show signs of independence. Toddlerhood is often a time of frustration and emotional confusion; we aim to work closely with parents to make the transition from Wobblers to Preschool as enjoyable and memorable as possible. We encourage the toddlers to become more independent in their feeding habits and their ability to help themselves in toileting, dressing, decision making and planning daily activities.
Toddlers are exposed to a wide range of open ended materials developing their imagination and their creative skills. Outdoor play is always part of our day.
Weekly and monthly curriculum plans are drawn up which give parents an insight into what types of activities their children will be exposed to and what they will be learning.
Each day your child’s Daily Diary is filled in by their carers giving you a full detail on their eating, sleeping, nappy-changing, play and learning activities and any necessary medical administration. There is also a section for parents to remark on their child’s day or reminders.
